Spring 2021 Teaching Schedule

Hello,

I am so happy for the opportunities that technology enables because I am still teaching all my classes online.

This ability to still connect and foster an artistic community via Zoom had been the greatest gift.  And I hope you will consider one or more of my teaching offerings this Spring.

On Tuesdays, I am teaching a “master copy” class. We are focusing on Cezanne this term. This class is divided into several copy projects with subsequent painting projects being original still-life setups inspired by Cezanne.

On Wednesday mornings, I am teaching a “Florals in Oils” class.  This class is dedicated to painting seasonal flowers. This class begins on Wednesday, May 5th, and runs for six weeks.  I have taught this class online since last year May, and it has been a pleasure to see so much growth in my students.  The results make me believe in the efficacy of teaching via Zoom.  Learning can still happen and that the weekly camaraderie built in these classes are so important for mental wellbeing and connection.

If you have any questions about my weekly classes please feel free to email me.

Also, consider one of my weekend workshop, I have three scheduled this year, one in May, another in June, and the final one in September.

Start the Spring Flower season off with a 3-day online Peony Painting workshop.  I have begun to think of these long weekend workshops as virtual retreats where we get to share and commune with each other celebrating our creative selves.

Painting Peonies ONLINE Workshop runs from Friday May 14 to Sunday May 16th, and will be full of live painting demonstrations and afternoons full of art history discussions on Henri Fantin-Latour’s painting technique and one-on-one painting guidance.

Thank you!  Looking forward to seeing you this fall.

Liz

Let’s dive into luscious peony flowers! This class is a rich mix of practical hands on instruction, painting demonstrations in the mornings, and in the afternoon sessions will be dedicated to learning about one of the best flowers painters ever (IMO), Henri Fantin Latour, and individual student painting time.
